Two wonderful pinup shoots with Liz of Bombshell Pinup recently published, and so it’s time to share! The first is Dior New Look-inspired set featuring one of my trusty-dusty Nicois hats, and the second is a fantasy-boudoir mashup featuring Liz’s crystal curtains set and accessories, my “Bride of Dracula” crown, and lingerie by Dita von Teese.
The New Look-inspired shots – including a cover – are in the latest Pinup Nouveau magazine issue, while the crystal images are in the September edition of Bombshell Magazine!

The vintage jewelry pieces were gifts from some dear friends. The lovely makeup was by the fabulous Samantha White, and the amazing hair was by the great Nae Munster. This is seriously some of my favorite MUAH ever!
The genesis of this look was the desire to do a polished Dior New Look silhouette, complete with circle skirt and a dramatic hat. I’ve also always wanted to do a shoot involving a pet-on-leash. Not just the usual doggie, though, but something a little absurd. I got the inspiration from the Strangelove video by Depeche Mode that depicts a model toodling around Paris with a leashed pup.
So, I asked Liz if I could put a leash on her large ceramic snow leopard prop and she enthusiastically agreed.
The crystal curtain shoot came together mostly out of things we already had. Liz had been planning this crystal curtain set for awhile, and I had some lingerie and a crown I knew would work. The usual MUAH suspects (Lynae and Sam) were also responsible for these looks, along with Liz’s beautiful crystal belt and harness (she made these by hand!)…
