Catherine Morland has a pinup logo now…

Thanks to Marianne of Von Crow Art, I now have a beautiful pinup logo that represents me perfectly!

We based the image on my romantic vampire photoset by Marilee Caruso from last Spring, so there’s roses and all sorts of gothic goodness – perfect for a pinup named Catherine Morland! We added a jack-o-lantern to represent my lifelong obsession with Halloween and a cute black cat to represent my fluffy familiars. Marianne even included some of my favorite horrid novels in the art, namely Northanger Abbey and Dracula.

I highly recommend Marianne! She works fast, her prices are reasonable, and her artwork is unique and beautiful.

Pinup Art by Les Toil and Christine Geasey

Recently, two of my favorite artists created pinup portraits of me! My friends Christine Geasey and Brian (AKA Les Toil, creator of the famous Toil Girls) worked very hard to create some beautiful pinup art! They are available for hire if you are in need of some great custom artwork, pinup or otherwise!

Brian’s portrait is based in part on a photo set taken by Angela Morales a couple of years ago, and features the late, great Francine Ann, my precious kitty.

New Year’s Eve: Vintage Frank Starr gown

Happy new year! I always overdress for the holidays, and last night was no exception. I wore a beautiful lipstick-red vintage silk gown from the 1950s. It’s got a Frank Starr label and was apparently made to measure in a Washington, DC, dress shop.

I accessorized the dress with vintage paste jewelry, my silver Remix Ritz heels, a Deadly Dames satin bolero, and a vintage beaded clutch from Saks Fifth Avenue that matched the red of my gown PERFECTLY. A Planet Pinup Fourth of July!

I celebrated Independence day with some great new American-made accessories by Jean Peplinski at Planet Pinup!
